We are pleased to inform you that doctorSIM is in full compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which went into effect on May 25, 2018.
Announced by the European Union (EU) in 2016, the GDPR has established new rules for how companies process and share the personal data of their users and customers. Although obligatory for EU-based companies the global nature of the Internet made the GDPR a huge priority for practically every online business in the world.
doctorSIM has always cared about privacy as our Privacy Policy has always been strict, however, the updates we’ve made have further strengthened privacy rights by providing more transparency as to how we process personal data.
The most important changes to our policy are as follows:
- We have expanded and improved the structure of our Privacy Policy to include more information and provide further clarity.
- We have made it easier to give consent to how we handle personal data.
- A better explanation of the promotional materials offered to users and customers and more flexibility to opt in or out of each communication.
- We have explained user rights more clearly and in greater detail.
