Do you need to unlock your android device? Here’s all you need to know! If you want to unlock your Android smartphone and it has the Device Unlock pre-installed by the network carrier, doctorSIM has the one and only unlocking service that you need, the Device Unlock App Service.
This special service allows the owner of a cell phone locked to T-Mobile or MetroPCS to request and apply a mobile device unlock directly from the device unlike the traditional method which is inserting an unlock code.
If your device is from either of these two network carriers and doesn’t prompt for the unlock code when you insert a non-compatible SIM card or you cannot access a hidden menu, it almost certainly has the Device Unlock App installed.
The Device Unlock App can be found under the Applications icon on the main menu of your phone. Look for the following symbol depending on whether your network carrier is T-Mobile or MetroPCS:

Unlocking a T-Mobile with the Device Unlock App or MetroPCS Device Unlock App Service is very easy, but it is also very important that you select the correct unlocking service in order to successfully unlock it following the steps below:
1. Connect the smartphone to a WiFi network.
2. Open the Device Unlock application. Select the “Permanent Unlock” option to connect to the server (this process may take up to 30 minutes so do not leave the screen you are on).
3. The following message will appear: “Unlock Approved: Mobile device is permanently unlocked.” and two options, “Restart Now” or “Restart later”. We recommend pressing “Restart Now” to complete the unlocking process. No information will be deleted from your device.
4. Your Android cell phone has now been successfully unlocked for use on any compatible network in the world!
Submitting your unlocking request through doctorSIM using the Device Unlock App Service is fully guaranteed and will neither void the manufacturer’s warranty nor harm it in any way. This service is valid for the following makes using Android as their mobile operating system: Samsung, LG and Motorola.
